Bank ABN AMRO has been an active player on the Czech market since 1991; first its presence had the form of a representation office in Prague which later on 1 July 1993 changed into a Prague Branch with a full banking licence. Another branch was opened in Brno in November 1995 and in February 2004 also representation office in Slovakia in Bratislava. Operating in the Czech Republic, ABN AMRO focuses on providing high quality services in the fields of corporate and investment banking for select corporate, institutional and public sector clients.
ABN AMRO Bank had also provided its services in the Czech Republic through its subsidiary, ABN AMRO Asset Management, a.s. that offered a wide range of ABN AMRO Funds. The subsidiary was sold in 2005 and the companyâs new name is ATLANTIK Asset Management investicni spolecnost, a.s. (www.atlantik.cz).
