The main entity of the bank in this country, ABN AMRO Bank Berhad, was established in 1888 and is in itself a locally incorporated subsidiary as required by the Malaysian Central Bank. The bank's 125 employees maintain three branches in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and Penang and in Labuan, which is an offshore banking centre.
