ABN AMRO's Private Investor Products business develops innovative eco-products across multiple asset classes to feed the growing investor appetite in this area.
Our structured products cater for all investor risk profiles – complex and vanilla structured notes, with underlyings ranging from equity, foreign exchange, rates, credits, commodities, alternative investments and indices to hybrids.
In particular, ABN AMRO has had considerable success in developing structures around commodities such as water and renewable energy, and we now have more than EUR 1 billion in retail client assets under management in this area.
For ABN AMRO, our innovation centres on our expertise in developing and distributing products, together with our in-depth understanding of the technologies available and the dynamics of the financial markets. As such, we are uniquely placed to identify investor opportunities and create new products fast.
Working with third party partners allows us to access external experts to ensure we're bringing the right solutions to investors.
Our products have shown strong returns, for example, ABN AMRO's water index increased in value by 50% within its first 18 months, well above the average market rise of 10-12%. The solar energy index grew by around 30% in the past year and by a massive 300% over the last three years.
